About Goodwater Community Center
A group of volunteers is responsible to plan and oversee operations of the Goodwater Hall and Goodwater Rink. This includes planning functions that bring the rural community together and provide opportunities for other members of the community to host special functions. They also see that the buildings are kept up and improved for the community to enjoy. We all know that the community centre is the central hub for gatherings and the heart and soul of the community.
About the project
Volunteers have been busy giving the rink a facelift including, paint, new LED light fixtures in the rink and lobby! They have plans for new flooring and trim as well. They budgeted $16,000 for the project and fundraised the majority of it through community engagement. We’re so happy to be able to give them a helping hand to put them over the top.

About Lang Volunteer Fire Department
The Lang Fire Department is a volunteer department that serves the Town of Lang and surrounding RM of Scott. They have 12 members who dedicate hours of time to attend calls and maintain/update training with Weyburn Fire and STARS. They’ve been committed to upgrading their equipment and in the future, their facility.
About the project
They’ve Upgraded their old mid 70s truck so something a little newer and more reliable. The newer truck will help with response times and has larger water capacity for rural fires. The truck has more options like the ability to discharge foam. As well, the new truck gives them the ability to continue to grow their Fire Department.

About Prairie Memories Museum
The purpose of the Prairie Memories Museum is to collect and preserve items that best reflect the history and heritage of the Fillmore District and surrounding areas.
About the project
The museum is upgrading their washroom facilities and making them wheelchair accessible. The museum has many elderly and disabled members who frequent the museum, so this upgrade will make a visit to the museum a little easier and more enjoyable for all individuals.

About the project
The Sask. Health Authority is purchasing a NuStep t4r Recumbent Cross Trainer to encourage health and fitness. Programming will be available in the CU Spark Centre – an amazing facility near and dear to our hearts. It will allow individuals with chronic health conditions to perform a full exercise routine along with it being available for public use.

About The Family Place
The Family Place is a place where they celebrate children, parents, and families of all shapes and sizes. It's a place for fun and friendship for both parents and children. In a casual, friendly atmosphere, young children have fun playing and families have fun visiting, sharing, and learning with others.
About the project
The Family Place is currently in the process of relocating to a new location. They plan to move in early 2023 once the building additions and renovations are complete. Part of the new addition will include a kitchen space where they will have a full-time cook preparing daily healthy and nutritious meals including breakfast lunch and snacks. We are so happy to be able to provide funding for new appliances including fridge, freezer, dishwasher and oven for the kitchen!

About Weyburn Curling Club
The Weyburn Curling Club strives to provide affordable curling for everyone from grassroots to competitive. The volunteer their time, expertise and passion so all of us can enjoy the game.
About the project
The Weyburn Curling Club is replacing all of the current, aging club curling brooms. The brooms are used free of charge for youth and adult - anyone who does not have their own curling broom or wishes to try curling before investing in their own. The brooms are used extensively in school programming.

About Weyburn Humane Society
The Humane Society provides shelter and care for stray, homeless pets in Weyburn until they can be reunited with their owners or adopted to a new home.
About the project
The Humane Society is installing new fencing to provide a larger area for the dogs to run and allow visitors to play and interact with them. We are happy to provide half of their $20,000 budget!

About the Yellow Grass Fire Department
The Yellow Grass Fire Department is stationed in the Town of Yellow Grass. They are a volunteer group providing fire protection and rescue services to YG and surrounding rural areas.
These are the guys that you call in an emergency – they are the ones we depend on in our worst moments. But these guys just don’t fight fires and save lives – they are volunteers, they put hours in training, practice and development. And the fundraise – and apply for grants like this so the fire department has the space and equipment they need to serve you.
About the project:
They have outgrown their existing fire hall and are adding and addition to the fire hall for apparatus and related equipment storage. The addition will enable them to store apparatus and equipment more safely and efficiently. As well, the space will allow for more specialized equipment and indoor training activity. Better equipment, training, safety and efficiency will strengthen their ability to provide a higher level of service to those they serve.
